SanTrac Technologies is a highly innovative Information Technology and Low Voltage Solutions provider. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill a Lead Low Voltage Cable Technician position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Lead Low Voltage Cable Technician is responsible for leading a 2-person crew in following detailed electrical schematics and diagrams in order to complete installation, repair, removal, and inspection of components, primarily within the equipment chassis of applicable systems

Job Duties:
- Ensuring that equipment and information are on site to meet construction schedules and deadlines
- Installing Cable (Cat5e, Cat6, CCTV, and Fiber Optics) and Various Cable Supports (IE cable tray, conduit, Wire hangers) per 568A/B Cabling Standards
- Utilizing cable test procedures and equipment for a variety of different cable types
- Assisting with testing and terminating of cable systems
- Assisting with all aspects of the project as directed by the Crew leader, Foreman, and Supervisor
- Following all production, safety and quality standards to code
- Rack and stack equipment (routers, switches, servers and VoIP Phones)
- Perform a site survey
- Be able to walk jobs
- Provide information back to project manager and estimator
Experience:
- At least (5) three years experience within the low voltage structure cabling industry
- Excellent Customer Service
- Experience in installing cable in a wide range of cable supports to Cabling Standards
- Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/Layout work schedules
- Troubleshooting and maintenance through well-versed knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Be self-directed and strive to complete projects on time and safely
- Able to work with and complement our team to drive results through the strategic use of partnerships and planning
- Technical knowledge of Fiber Optics, Cat5e & Cat6 Cabling, Surveillance Systems, Access Control & Intruder Alarms and PA Systems
